Katherine L'Etang: Behind the Autism Mask

In This Episode:

Drops November 16, 2026

Autism has traditionally been understood through a lens that often overlooks how it can present in girls and women. As a result, many women have spent years masking their autistic traits, trying to fit into a world that seemed to come naturally to everyone else, without understanding why they felt different. For some, it isn’t until their own children are diagnosed that they begin to recognize themselves in the diagnosis. Katherine L’Etang, also known as TheNeurodiversityMom, talks about recognizing autism in women and the experience of growing up undiagnosed. Katherine is a late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD content creator who shares her journey of self-discovery and healing with a large online community. She’s also the author of Actually I’m Autistic: Relatable Advice from a Late-Diagnosed Woman Who Couldn’t Mask Forever.
